When the cold season arrives, many households consider installing towel warmers in their bathrooms. However, the combination of a humid environment and electrical appliances often raises concerns, particularly about safety issues like electrical leakage. Additionally, the complexity of the installation process can discourage many users. To address these concerns, Giving Tree Home has created a detailed installation guide to help you easily and correctly install your towel warmer. In this article, we will use our G64, G66, G69, and G70 models as examples to explain the specific methods for both perforated and concealed installations. Please note that this guide applies only to our products, and if you have purchased a towel warmer from another brand, be sure to refer to the corresponding installation instructions.
Instructions and Precautions
The image above shows a simplified installation diagram and the materials included in the package. In addition to these, you will need to prepare some tools:
- Manual or Electric Screwdriver
- Hammer
- Impact Drill
- Vise
- Insulating Tape
Perforated Installation Method
- Align the shelf with the reserved mounting holes on the main rod, then insert the allen screw [K] through the screw hole and tighten it to ensure it is securely fixed.
- Insert the M6 cross screw [F] through the gasket [C] to secure the square foot cover [B] onto the towel rack. (Note: Use a manual screwdriver for installation, as an electric screwdriver may strip the screws.)
- Measure the vertical distance of the towel rack screw hole as illustrated in the picture, and mark this measurement on the wall.
- Using an impact drill, create 8mm screw holes at the marked positions, then use a hammer to drive the expansion sleeve [E] into the wall.
- Use the pointed screws [D] to secure the base [A] to the wall by passing them through the small holes as shown in the figure.
- Position the towel rack onto the square mounting base [A] and use M4 self-tapping screws [G] to attach the towel rack body to the base. Ensure that the product is not installed upside down. Your installation is now complete.
Concealed Installation Method
The process for concealed installation and perforated installation is largely similar, with the first four steps being identical. To avoid redundancy, we will begin with a detailed description from step five.
- Align the small hole of one base [A] with the expansion sleeve above the wall and secure it using pointed screws [D]. Pass all the reserved wires through the large hole on the other base and fix it with pointed screws [D]. Then, use the small hole on the base to secure base [A] to the wall as shown in the figure.
- Use a vise to cut off the plug section and pull the remaining wire back, as shown in the picture. Extract the wire through the large opening of the square foot cover. Then, gently cut the wires near the towel rack and the three reserved wires on the wall using the vise.
- Remove the rubber insulation from the outside of the wire while retaining the inner wires.
- Connect the new thermostat by matching the wires one-to-one: live wire (red) to live wire (red), neutral wire (blue) to neutral wire (blue), and ground wire (yellow) to ground wire (yellow).
- Securely wrap the three corresponding wires with black insulating tape and conceal them within the square foot cover [B] beneath the towel rack.
- Position the towel rack onto the square mounting base [A] and use M4 self-tapping screws [G] to attach the towel rack body to the base. Ensure that the product is not installed upside down. Your installation is now complete.
Ending
Installing a towel warmer is not actually complicated; the key is to accurately mark the installation location and ensure the holes are properly drilled in the wall. Regarding electric shock safety, you need not worry too much, as most Giving Tree Home towel warmers are equipped with leakage protection. In the event of a leak, the system will quickly cut off the power within 0.1 seconds to ensure your safety.
